Was the first day of college. In my music education class, the professor has us play a name game and to say why we wanted to be a music ed major. Well, in the jitters of the first day of college, and from some of the classic “what will people think of me” apprehension, I simply stated “I love music!” Well, I was reflecting on that just now. It’s much more than that. It’s my life goal to be a positive influence on as many people as I can. I want to enrich someone else’s life, to teach them something they had never knew they could do. That’s why I want to teach, and I want to teach the one thing I have the most passion for, the one thing that is the most underrated subject in the majority of the world, and the one thing that I think I am best at. So, next time someone asks me why I’m doing what I am, I’m going to try to be more honest.
